From a half-acre residential lot to a multi-acre commercial development site — we clear it completely. Trees, stumps, brush, debris, invasive growth. We leave raw, usable ground ready for whatever comes next.
Serving property owners, developers, farmers, and municipalities across Cumberland, York, and Adams Counties.

What Land Clearing Actually Involves
More Than Just Cutting Trees Down
Land clearing is one of the most misunderstood services in the outdoor industry. People assume it means dropping trees — but a genuinely cleared parcel is something entirely different. It means every tree is felled and removed. Every stump is ground to below grade. Every root mass and log is hauled. Every thicket of brush, invasive shrub, and woody undergrowth is extracted. The result is bare, workable ground: ready for a foundation, a fence, a pasture, a driveway, or whatever purpose the land is intended to serve.
Partial clearing — dropping trees without removing stumps, or cutting brush without pulling roots — creates problems that compound over time. Stumps rot, attract pests, and make grading and building nearly impossible. Root systems left in place heave and shift as they decompose. We complete every job from canopy to soil surface, because that’s what “cleared” actually means.
South-Central Pennsylvania’s terrain presents specific challenges: steeply graded lots common to the Adams County hill country, clay-heavy soils throughout Cumberland County that hold root masses stubbornly, and the dense mixed-species woodlots that define much of York County’s rural landscape. We’ve worked all of it, with the right equipment for each condition.

Why Clients Call Us
Every Reason a Parcel Needs to Be Cleared
01 New Construction
Before any foundation can be poured, the site has to be clear. We work directly with contractors and developers to clear and grade-prep sites on the timeline construction demands — no delays, no half-measures.
02 Agricultural Expansion
Converting wooded acreage to pasture, crop land, or orchard requires complete clearing — not just tree removal. We clear for Adams County’s orchardists and Cumberland Valley farmers who need usable acreage, not logged-over land.
03 Driveway & Road Access
New driveway corridors, rural road widening, and access lane creation through wooded property all require precision clearing — close to the finished edge without disturbing adjacent trees or property lines.
04 Fence Line Restoration
A fence line that hasn’t been managed in ten years can disappear entirely into encroaching brush and saplings. We restore fence corridors fully — cutting, extracting, and chipping so post-setting can begin immediately.
05 Fire & Safety Mitigation
Overgrown lots adjacent to structures, dead-fall debris accumulations, and encroaching tree canopies all create fire and hazard risk. Clearing restores defensible space and brings land into compliance with local codes.
06 Estate & Property Reclamation
Inherited properties, long-vacant land, and parcels left unmanaged for years can reclaim themselves surprisingly fast. We restore these to usable condition — clearing decades of growth back to manageable, purposeful land.
Our Method
How a Clearing Job Actually Gets Done
We don’t start a job until we’ve walked the full parcel. Every clearing project is different — topography, species mix, soil conditions, and site access all change the approach.
1 Site Walk & Assessment
We walk the full parcel with the property owner, identify the clearing boundary, note any trees to be preserved, flag utility corridors, and assess soil and drainage conditions that affect equipment access.
2 Written Scope & Estimate
You receive a written proposal specifying exactly what will be cleared, what equipment will be used, how debris will be handled (hauled, chipped on-site, or burned where permitted), and the project timeline.
3 Canopy & Tree Removal
Large trees are felled first, directionally when near structures or property lines. Limbs are cut and chipped or staged for hauling. Trunks are cut to manageable sections and removed or processed on-site.
4 Stump Grinding
Every stump is ground to at least 6–12 inches below grade — deeper when the site requires grading, foundation work, or paving. Grind material is raked back and can be used as fill or removed entirely.
5 Brush & Undergrowth Clearing
Shrubs, brush piles, saplings, and invasive groundcover are cleared mechanically and by hand where equipment can’t reach. Nothing is simply mowed over — root systems are extracted where removal is specified.
6 Final Grading & Cleanup
The site is rough-graded to a consistent level, all debris is hauled or disposed of per the project agreement, and the property is left in the condition specified — ready for your next phase of work.
Built for the Work
Heavy Equipment. Right-Sized for Every Job.
One of the most common mistakes in land clearing is using the wrong equipment for the site. A large excavator on a tight residential lot destroys turf, compacts soil, and can’t maneuver to the edges. A compact machine on a large wooded parcel takes three times as long and costs accordingly. We match equipment to site conditions — size, slope, soil type, and access constraints all factor into what we bring.
For properties in Adams County’s hill terrain, we rely on tracked equipment that maintains footing on grade. For tight residential lots, we use compact equipment with lower ground pressure. For large commercial parcels in York County, we can bring full-size equipment and crews that move fast without sacrificing thoroughness.
Equipment Used
- Track Skid Steers
Lower ground pressure for sensitive sites; ideal for residential and mid-size lots - Forestry Mulchers
Rapid brush and small-tree clearing; produces ground-level chips with no haul-off required - Stump Grinders
Walk-behind and machine-mounted grinders for all stump sizes - Chipper & Haul Trucks
On-site chipping and full debris removal or mulch retention - Mini Excavators
Precision root extraction and grading in restricted-access areas
